PICCALINNA TOUR
It will
seem to cross a desert, up to the threshold of the wood, where the
nineteenth-century Well of San Giovanni rises.
In the
valley to the east of the Mine of Montevecchio, it is still possible to see the
original landscape marked by the tracks laid on the dirt road, which accompany
us to the buildings of Piccalinna. Here, the Well of San Giovanni rises
solemnly, connected by large chains to the Sala Principe, where there is a
great winch, that allowed the miners to
climb and descend underground; Moreover, in the adjacent rooms you will find
the Water Pumps and the wonderful Sullivan Compressor.
